This Make And Take recipe is a great all purpose salve to use on your skin. Lemon and Melaleuca essential oils are wonderful for their cleansing properties. Lavender is a soothing oil that is known for its skin benefits. You will love having this salve on hand. It can even be used as a hand lotion in the winter.
- 1 ounce glass lotion pot
- 5 drops Lemon essential oil
- 5 drops Lavender essential oil
- 5 drops Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) essential oil
- Almost 2 ounces of raw coconut oil
Scoop 2 ounces of raw coconut oil into a small glass bowl. Add your essential oils. Mix well with a metal fork or spoon. Scoop final concoction into your glass lotion pot and put lid on. Store in a cool, dark place. Apply directly to skin as needed. This is one of the great DIY essential oil recipes to share with other mamas!
